The new discussion forum, and a request for feedback!

I am happy to introduce the availability of the discussion forum. It's a general forum that's viewable by all, and it will enable members of this community to ask and answer questions that fall outside of the more highly-focused groups and communities of interest (COIs).

We've launched the discussion forum without a lot of bells and whistles--you'll find that there are no categories to navigate, and the functionality is simple and intuitive.

It's going to take a few posts from you to get things started, and remember, you don't have to be prolific.
